Mr. Vilas Ghag, the owner of Vaishnavi Organic Farm, is a postgraduate in Agriculture from a well known University that is “Konkan Agricultural University”. |

After post graduation in the year 1987, he started working as a consultant for commercial organic cultivation. While studying nutrition value of Organic food grains, he came across an amazing and informative book of Mr. Annie Wigmore “Wheatgrass Book”. It was great inspiration to him since his organic technology would have been of great benefits to mass than the individual farm-owner. Mr.Ghag is from a social family since his father was a social worker. |

In the wheatgrass book he could notice that the wheatgrass is the complete solution for city residents like Mumbai who could not even get basic natural resources like Sunlight, nutritionally balanced food which causes early ageing with invitation to dreaded diseases which can be cured using wheatgrass as per Dr. Wigmore. In Mumbai indoor officers rarely see sunlight whereas wheatgrass stores the solar energy, which is very beneficial to human being. Foodstuffs are not consumed in natural form, which is not correct. Also vitamins and nutrients in natural form get destroyed while overcooking, frying and other wrong means of cooking. In this situation Wheatgrass is a boon as it has nutrients of high biological value. |

He has started his small-scale cultivation in a small shade since 1989 but the common people were not aware of benefits of wheatgrass. He decided to do diploma in Naturopathy to acquire the authority to talk on the Naturopathy. He started spreading awareness about the wheatgrass and its benefits by distributing the handbills about wheatgrass all over Mumbai city. His write-ups were published in famous Marathi newspaper “ Loksatta”, Gujrathi newspaper “Mumbai Samachar” and Hindi newspaper “Mahanagar”. He started giving talk to institutions, organizations to educate people how to keep away stress, body toxins, and dreaded diseases by using wheatgrass and general food hygiene. |
